Guided Setup Option
The Guided Setup Option is for production teams that need their laser calibration hardware installed and verified without guessing. Instead of shipping lenses and sensors with a manual and leaving the rest to your engineers, we walk through the mounting, alignment, and first calibration run together.
This option works best when your line is new, or when you are replacing an older optical system and want to avoid the usual trial-and-error phase. A Focusandyou technician joins your team on-site, checks the mechanical mounting points, confirms the focal distance for each laser lens, and runs a baseline calibration using our industrial focus sensors. You get a documented starting point that your own staff can repeat.
The practical tradeoff is straightforward: you trade a bit of scheduling flexibility for a shorter ramp-up. Most setups on automated assembly lines take one to two days, depending on how many stations need alignment. We bring the test targets, the alignment tools, and the reference data sheets. Your team provides access to the line and a responsible engineer who will own the calibration routine afterward.
What you receive after the visit is a setup report with measured values for each station, the exact lens positions, and a simple checklist for weekly checks. That report becomes the baseline for future maintenance, so when something drifts, you can compare against the original numbers instead of starting from zero.
This is not a training course and not a long-term contract. It is a defined engagement with a clear scope: get the hardware mounted, aligned, and producing repeatable calibration data. If your line has unusual constraints, such as limited access above the conveyor or existing brackets that do not match our mounting plates, we flag those during the pre-visit checklist and adjust the plan before anyone travels.
